Guidelines
The guidelines, in full
Written on the wall by the door, repeated when they need to be, and applied by the crew the same way for everyone.
Entry
Getting through the door
Who can come in?
Adults only, 18 and over, for the kitchen just as much as for the tables.
Will I be asked for ID?
Probably, and more than once on a busy night. Nobody is being singled out.
Can the crew turn me away?
Yes, and they do not have to give a reason for it.
Dogs?
Assistance animals are welcome. Everything else waits outside with a friend.
Money
What does not happen here
- Resin chips belong to the bay, count points for one evening and carry no monetary value at any time.
- There is no buy-in, no pot, no rake, no prize fund and no wagering on any outcome in this building.
- Money passed between players ends the hand; a second time and the evening is over.
- Chips do not leave the room. They are counted back into the tin at close.
- No gaming machines are installed here and none will be.
Conduct
Forty people in a small bay
- Phone calls happen out on the footpath, not at a table.
- Ask before photographing anyone who is not with you.
- The roller door area stays clear — it is the fire exit.
- Alcohol service ends for anyone who has had enough, and the crew do not debate that call.
- We will book a taxi at any point in the evening, and would rather do it too early than too late.
